Storage & Serving Suggestions

We bake all of our cakes and cookies to order, and no more than 24 hours before dispatch.

Once they arrive in your home, you've got a few different storage and serving options, depending on how you want to enjoy your bakes.

Storage

Store your cakes or cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. For brownies, if you'd like them a little firmer, you can store them in the fridge. Don't put stuffed cookies in the fridge as it will dry them out.

If stored correctly:

  • Brownies will be at their very crunchy-topped and fudgy-centred best for 10 days from dispatch.
  • Stuffed cookies will be at their tear-apart soft, squidgy-centred best for 5 days from dispatch.

If your brownies are in the fridge, take out 30 minutes to an hour before serving.

If you want to eat them at a later date, our cakes freeze perfectly - follow our freezing guidelines, below.

Freezing Instructions

All of our treats freeze perfectly. Our portions are pretty MAHOOSIVE, so we totally support freezing them.

Wrap each piece of cake or cookie individually in 2-3 layers of cling film, to avoid freezer burn, and place in the freezer - a label might be a good idea, so you know what flavour it is when you come to get it back out!

Freeze as soon as possible after arrival and keep for up to 3 months.

To serve, thaw the cakes or cookies fully at room temperature, and then either serve at room temperature or warm them up (microwave for 10 seconds for cookies, or 30 seconds for brownies) if you prefer them warm and gooey.

Serving Suggestions

Try them warm - heating instructions

Try your brownies and cookies warmed up!

Brownies: 20 seconds in the microwave

Stuffed cookies: 10 seconds in the microwave

Other ways to enjoy your cakes.

1. I can't wait - just give me the cakes!

All of our cakes and cookies are amazingly decadent, rich and delicious as they are - you can eat them straight out of the box.

That being said, we've tried and loved a few different serving options!

2. Taking them up a notch

You can turn a plain brownie into a pretty impressive dessert or afternoon treat by jazzing it up a little.

To create individual servings, we suggest drizzling some fruit coulis or caramel sauce on a plate, placing the brownie on top, and then finishing with some whipped cream or ice-cream of your choice.

If you have biscuits, nuts, or anything else with a crunch, crush it up and scatter over the top for a bit of texture.

3. Turn your brownies into a dessert fit for the most demanding of guests!

Our brownies have a very high chocolate/butter content, so they'll turn very gooey, molten and delicious if you heat them up, while retaining the crunchy outer crust.

Somewhere between a brownie and a chocolate melt-in-the-middle cake.

Once warm, you can serve them out of a bowl or on a plate, with ice-cream and any fruit or toppings you fancy - we love the Plain Chocolate Brownies warmed up with some vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with caramel sauce.

They make a perfect base for all sorts of toppings - play with texture, add crunchy nuts or broken up cookies.

Spread the brownie joy! 🧡
